Durability, chemical resistance and UV stability – reap the benefits of AptiCryl

Our range of speciality high performance acrylic coatings, AptiCryl, provides confidence to the construction and building industry with its key performance characteristics which outperform traditional coatings and primers.

As the building and construction division of Devine Chemicals, we’re able to provide a wide portfolio of high-quality speciality chemicals designed to meet the needs of the industry. This includes admixtures, superplasticisers, lithium carbonate alternatives, screed additives and the most recent addition, AptiCryl, our high-performance acrylic coatings.

Addressing concrete retouching and colouration with AptiCryl Concrete Paint

If you’re looking for an easy and quick way to add colour to concrete or revitalise weathered and worn surfaces, our AptiCryl Concrete Paint can support. It is a pigmented acrylic coater, that has been designed for application onto already cured concrete and is durable enough for both exterior and interior use.

It can be applied to various types of concrete and other materials such as stone, roof tiles, brick, slate, clay and plastic. And provides long-lasting aesthetic appeal as well as protection against abrasive cleaning, harsh weather conditions, UV light and general wear and tear.

For those looking to maximise the visual display, we offer a range of colours, and the concrete paint can also be matched to an existing shade for a ‘back to new’ application. Explore the further benefits and request a sample, here.

Streamlining bonding and managing moisture adsorption with AptiCryl Non-Grit Primer

Our non-grit primer provides a uniform base and provides faster drying and easier application, by brush or roller, when compared to traditional grit primers. The moisture tolerant water-based, low viscosity, primer is easier to pump and its thin consistency provides an even coat.

It also benefits from exceptional adhesion characteristics, which can often be the reason of selecting a grit primer over a non-grit primer, so with AptiCryl Non-Grit Primer there is no compromise on grip, a smooth surface and ease of application.

Based on a pigmented acrylic polymer emulsion system, it offers maximum bond strength on overcoated self-levelling compounds, screeds and adhesives. Suitable for application onto both absorbent and non-absorbent surfaces it can applied to materials such as ceramic, stone, plastic, metal and timber – offering versatility.

Prepare difficult and porous surfaces with ease when using AptiCryl Primer

Our versatile and ready to use acrylic polymer emulsion primer provides both a smooth and highly tacky surface for maximum bond strength on exterior and interior applications.

It can effectively seal surfaces and prevent issues like bubbling by improving adhesion and reducing absorbency.

Its versatility lends itself to be used on concrete, screed, stone and clay – as well as others. Find out more and request a sample, here.

Protect and restore concrete roof tiles with AptiCryl RTC

Our high-performance pigmented acrylic coating for surface application onto concrete roofing tiles, AptiCryl RTC, contains an antibacterial/anti-mould additive and decreases the risk of water absorption.

Compared to clay, concrete roof tiles tend to absorb more water making them heavier and prone to structural damage from mould growth and freeze-thaw cycles. However, by applying AptiCryl RTC with is anti-mould additive and excellent weatherability the longevity and performance of concrete roofing tiles can be improved.

Highly versatile, it can be tailored to any new or existing production facilities and it comes in a range of colours or can be matched to an existing shade. It was also developed for a wet-on-dry process onto cured concrete roof tiles. To find out more or request a sample, click here.
